<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-drying apparatus wherein a blow-out nozzle blowing out a gas stream is driven along an inserted hand when a user inserts the wet hand in a hand-inserting section when this hand-drying apparatus is used, and troublesomeness such that the user has to insert/remove the hand in/from the hand-inserting section several times in order to remove water drops or the like adhered to the hand, or the hands are rubbed together in the vicinity of the blow-out nozzle can be eliminated, and at the same time, an uncomfortable feeling due to the touching of the inserted hand with a water-receiving section or the blow-out nozzle can be prevented from occurring when the hand-drying apparatus is used.
SOLUTION: This hand-drying apparatus blows off water or the like adhered to hand with the gas stream. For such a hand-drying apparatus is provided with the hand-inserting section in which hand is inserted, the blow-out nozzle which blows out the gas stream to the hand, a gas-feeding means which guides the gas stream to the blow-out nozzle, and the blow-out nozzle-driving means. The blow-out nozzle- driving means freely moves the blow-out nozzle in such a manner that the gas stream blown out from the blow-out nozzle may go along the palm or the back of the hand which is inserted in the hand-inserting section.
