<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to improve the activity of shift reaction. <P>SOLUTION: The shift catalyst is manufactured in steps of: first mixing TiO<SB>2</SB>with an additive oxide containing at least one of CeO<SB>2</SB>and WO<SB>3</SB>(S100); adding a binder to the obtained mixture powder to produce a slurry (S110); coating a specified catalyst base body with the produced slurry (S120); drying and calcining (S130); further depositing platinum on the surface (S140); and drying and calcining (S150) to obtain the shift catalyst. The catalytic performance can be improved by depositing platinum on the TiO<SB>2</SB>containing the additive oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
