<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method not allowing the phase operation of a printing roll to interfere with printing of a rear stage in a sectional drive type gravure printing press containing no compensator roll. <P>SOLUTION: The control method is adapted to the sectional drive type gravure printing press. The tension fluctuations of a printing substrate material due to the operation of a plate phase accompanied by the register adjustment of a printing substrate material of a certain stage and the register error corresponding thereto, that is, the model of the plate phase is constituted to perform simulation and feed forward compensation is applied to the printing control of the printing unit of a rear stage on the basis of the simulation result to eliminate the interference with the effect on the printing unit of the rear stage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
