PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reproducing an existing duct capable of bringing a layer made of a thermoplastic resin tube into close contact with the duct without leaving a heating fluid in the reproduced duct. SOLUTION: The method for reproducing the existing duct comprises the steps of inserting the tube 12 having an inner diameter smaller than that of the duct into the duct 11, and radially enlarging the tube 12 to bring the tube 12 into close contact with the inner surface of the duct 11. The method further comprises the steps of introducing the heating fluid 14 in a gap 13 formed between the tube 12 and the duct 11, heating the tube 12, and then pressure reducing in the gap 13 or applying an internal pressure in the tube 12.
