<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine in which game characteristic is improved and a player is thrilled and excited continuously for a long period due to the appearance of a ready-to-win mode by associating fluctuation display on a normal pattern display device with variable display on a variable display device with each other. <P>SOLUTION: When a displaying mode on the variable display device 310 is turned to the mode disadvantageous to the player, on condition that a prescribed previous noticing pattern is displayed on the normal pattern display device 140, a prescribed masking pattern for masking one of the pieces of identification information forming a disadvantageous display mode on the variable display device 310 is made to appear. Thereafter, the identification information is varied again on the variable display device 310 in connection with the masking pattern. In the process of masking the one of the piece of already displayed identification information by the masking pattern in this case, the kind of the masking pattern is varied.
