METHOD OF OPERATING MEMBRANE SEPARATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a membrane separator by which filtration efficiency is improved and the life of filtration membranes is prolonged. SOLUTION: The membrane separator 10 feeds liquid chemicals from liquid chemical piping 30 to membrane elements 18 and subjects the filtration membranes of the membrane elements 18 to cleaning treatment when the values detected by pressure gages 28 disposed at treated water collection piping 22 of membrane units 16 attain set values. A controller 42 automatically selects the cleaning conditions of the cleaning treatment according to the patterns of the variation per day of the values detected by the pressure gauge 28.
