PURPOSE: A volume holographic digital data storing system capable of projecting is provided to reproduce a color picture by using a monochrome LCD in realizing hologram, thereby reducing the prime cost. CONSTITUTION: An RGB splitter(210) splits digital video signals into R component data, G component data, and B component data. A first buffer(220A) temporarily stores the R component data by frame units for outputting the stored R component data. A second buffer(220B) temporarily stores the G component data by frame units for outputting the stored G component data. A third buffer(220C) temporarily stores the B component data by frame units for outputting the stored B component data. A monochrome LCD(230) optically modulates object beams by frame units of R, G, and B component data. A storage medium(240) records the modulated object beams by a reference beam. If another reference beam larger than the reference beam in wavelength enters, the storage medium sequentially reproduces the modulated object beams larger than the modulated object beams in recording. An RGB signal compositing unit(250) composites the object beams of the RGB component data for projecting video signals by frame units on a screen.
