PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand blast device used for sand blast treatment of a rib of a back surface plate for PDP and preventing quality failure of a workpiece caused by discharge of static electricity charge. SOLUTION: The air blow nozzle 21 for removing static electricity is mounted for each blast nozzle 20, and the workpiece 19 is conveyed by a conveying roller 22, moves in one direction at a predetermined speed, and is machined. Each blast nozzle 20 is supported by each shaft 23, and a grinding material 24 mixed with high pressure air passes through the shaft 23 and is injected at a high pressure from a slit of the blast nozzle 20 onto the workpiece 19. A spray port of the air blow nozzle 21 is disposed near the jet port of the blast nozzle 20, and ionized air 25 for removing static electricity passes through a dedicated pipe 26 and is sprayed from the nozzle 21 in response to the jet of the grinding material 24, thereby neutralizing or reducing the static electricity occurring on the workpiece 19.
