PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure cooker which achieves excellent opening operability by facilitating operations of releasing pressure steam within the cooker and opening a pressure lid in a series of actions after cooking. SOLUTION: In the pressure cooker, a pressure lid 2 is freely openably installed at an upper opening part of the main body 1 of the cooker and a closing lock mechanism 3 makes the pressure lid 2 keep the upper opening part of the body 1 of the cooker closed. A steam bleeding part 4 is provided on the body 1 of the cooker or the pressure lid 2 to discharge steam within the body 1 of the cooker outside of the body 1 and is so arranged as to be kept closed normally while unlocking is made by manipulating an unlocking operation part 5 to open it. A handle part 6 is disposed at an upper part of the pressure lid 2 and provided with the unlocking operation part 5 operable with fingers of a hand holding the handle part 6 while the closing lock mechanism 3 is unlocked by manipulating the unlocking operation part 5 for unlocking.
