A paste for cleaning oil-paintings, delicate fabrics, precious wood, and other substances is obtained by stirring a solution of 3000 gm. of rice starch and 50 gm. of a deodorant in 9000 gm. of water into a mixture of 280 gm. of carbontetrachloride, 980 gm. of decahydronaphthalene, 380 gm. of cyclohexanol, 340 gm. of olive oil, and 240 gm. of water, and adding up to 1620 gm. of 15 DEG B</>ae. caustic soda solution. Deodorants specified are natural or artificial rose oil, and almond oil or nitrobenzene. The proportions may be varied. |
