A curling broom includes a head, a lower shaft mounted to the head, a ha nd grip on the lower shaft and an upper shaft extending above the hand grip and extending at an angle sweeping rearwardly from the lower shaft. The hand grip includes a generally horizontal surface to permit user to bear downwardly on the broom. The grip may be rotatable on the lower shaft. The lower shaft may also be length-adjustable to accommodate users of different heights.
