TWO-WAVELENGTH LIGHT SOURCE MODULE FOR OPTICAL PICKUP

PURPOSE: A two-wavelength light source module for an optical pickup is provided to reduce cross talk and defocus of the optical pickup by arranging first and second adhesion surfaces to form a certain angle with a pit row tangent line. CONSTITUTION: A body(102) is provided. A stem(104) is protruded at a front surface of the body and has first and second adhesion surfaces formed at an angle of 90 degrees so that the stem has an angle of 45 deg. to a pit row tangent line. Two semiconductor chips(106) are attached to the first and second adhesion surfaces respectively and are different in wavelength. A metal can(108) is combined with the front surface of the body for containing the stem and has a projective hole in the center for emitting an optical beam. A transparent cover glass is attached to the projective hole for preventing alien substances from infiltrating.
