PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound collecting apparatus with sufficient noise suppression performance even when the number of sound sources is more than the number of microphones. SOLUTION: The microphones are installed so that the S/N of the first microphone 201 is greater than the S/N of the second microphone 202. A multiplier 206 revises a signal level of the second microphone 202 so that a noise level in the second microphone is greater than a noise level in the first microphone 201 on the basis of a coefficient calculated by noise level estimate means 203, 204 and a level ratio calculation means 205. A noise suppression processing means 207 receives the signal from the first microphone 201 and a signal from the second microphone 202 whose level is revised by the multiplier 206.
