PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a small number of maintenance persons to collectively manage many devices to be monitored and to remotely maintain minor maintenance contents. SOLUTION: A remote maintenance device 14A detects a failed state of a device 15A to be monitored, notifies a mobile terminal 11A of the failed state through a public line network 13, inspects the device 15A to be monitored on the basis of an inspection instruction inputted from the mobile terminal 11A, and notifies the mobile terminal 11A of inspection results. The remote maintenance device 14A performs a recovery program of the device 15A to be monitored on the basis of a recovery instruction inputted from the mobile terminal 11A and further restarts the device 15A to be monitored according to a power turning-off and power turning-on again instruction to the device 15A to be monitored.
