PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system capable of extracting images in a desired range from the images during imaging and capable of preventing the extracted images in the desired range from becoming rough.

SOLUTION: The system comprises an input means for inputting information on the desired range to extract images from the images imaged by the imaging apparatus and a control means for executing predetermined imaging operations based on the image data in the desired range, after optically enlarging the images to a maximum scaling factor with which the images can be imaged in the desired range, based on the information input from the input means.
