SINGLE REEL TYPE MAGNETIC TAPE CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic tape cartridge which can reliably discriminate a divergence of a type of magnetic tape without not to cause a cost up of a tape drive side in a single reel type magnetic tape cartridge which provides an extension end of a magnetic tape with a leader tape. SOLUTION: A single reel 2 is arranged in a box type main body case 1, and the leader tape 4 is connected to the extension end of the magnetic tape 3 wound around a reel 2. A discrimination hole 15 extended in a tape travelling direction is arranged in the leader tape 4. A linear-dimension L of the tape travelling direction of the discrimination hole 15 is predetermined so as to be varied longer or shorter depending on the type of magnetic tape cartridge.
