PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device with which sufficient positioning accuracy can be assured between a spindle motor and a guide rod even in spite of a reduction in thickness and a method of adjusting the same. SOLUTION: The spindle motor 25 is positioned by pressing a fixture 30 to the guide rod 21 in the state of keeping the fixture 30 pressed to a bearing 25A of the spindle motor 2 from a back side.
