PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system equipped with radio equipment by which quiet sound operation is performed in photographing with a camera in an area in which photographing with the camera or the like is restricted. SOLUTION: A transmitter to transmit a radio wave signal to the camera possessing a receiving function and located in a specified area possesses a transmitting means to transmit a signal representing a specified mode. When the camera receives the signal, the operation of the camera is forcedly shifted to a quiet sound mode. In the quiet sound mode, a film winding operation is made slower, lens driving is switched to a manual operation and a film rewinding operation is made slower (photographing may occasionally be inhibited).
