Leak detection system for mounting between a fluid product supply source (1) and an element (3) that is normally effectively sealed against the fluid product. The system has a connection conduit (21, 22) connected between source and sealed element and an inlet valve (23), which opens when the differential pressure across it exceeds a threshold value. The system also comprises a deviation shunt channel (24) that bypasses the inlet valve and a measurement device (25) for measuring the differential pressure across the valve of the flow rate in the deviation channel.
