A light self-supporting partition (1) is composed of a rigid panel with lateral returns which are fixed to the vehicle side walls by an interface, screwed (5) to the middle legs, having the same height as the legs and without fixing to the floor. By freeing the floor of fixings and by raising the seat part (9)/base (3) articulated by a pivot connection the floor is free over all its length.
