PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction and exhaust device situated at the head part of the cylinder of an internal combustion engine capable of reducing the number of parts of a lightweight, compact and low noise type. SOLUTION: A hole in which a columnar rotary shaft 3 formed of a hard body, such as a metal and ceramics, can be inserted is formed in a hard body 2, such as a metal and ceramics, a fuel introduction hole 5 communicating with the hole, a combustion gas discharge hole 6, and a hole 8 communicating with a combustion chamber 7 are formed in the hard body. When the rotary shaft 3 is rotated, the situating spots of the holes 5, 9, and 8 are position where the holes 6, 9, and 8 can be intercommunicated. A communication displacement preventing device is situated on the rotary shaft 3. A space where a power transmitting tool 13 to transmit the power of a crank shaft 14 to the rotary shaft 3 is situated is formed at the end part of the rotary shaft 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
