DIGITAL SIGNAL CONVERTER, CONVERSION METHOD, AND VIDEO MONITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter for converting a digital input signal into a digital output signal using a set of filtering coefficients. SOLUTION: The converter comprises a filtering means effecting a filtering function and producing the set of the filtering coefficients from phase differences between a sample of the digital output signal and samples of the digital input signal, by attaining the filtering function being defined by a set of polynomials. The filtering means also comprise a memory for storing the polynomials, and a means of calculating the set of the filtering coefficients from the polynomials and the phase differences. Such a converter allows a large number of format conversions, while having limited memory resources. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
