<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve easy confirmation of image quality after editing and optimum image editing. <P>SOLUTION: An editing point detector 24 finds a degree of deterioration of image quality of image data after editing based on a frame of a bit stream before and after editing in a specified editing point, detects a point proposed for editing in the vicinity of the specified editing point, and finds the degree of deterioration of image quality of image data after editing based on a frame of a bit stream before and after editing in the point proposed for editing. After that, when the detector 24 judges that the degree of deterioration after editing in the specified editing point is lower than that in the point proposed for editing, the detector outputs the degree of deterioration after editing in the point proposed for editing and a distance (moving magnitude) from the specified editing point to the point proposed for editing, to an output part 27 through a CPU 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
