PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the quality of a solid-state image pickup device by making the device shade the light effect, even when the device uses a flexible printed board, making the manufacturing of the device easier by reducing the number of parts, and preventing the occurrence of disconnections, etc. SOLUTION: A solid-state image pickup element 2 is connected to one surface of the flexible printed board 1, and a camera unit 3 is mounted on the printed board 1 at a position where the element 2 can pick up images. A light shading member 5 is provided on the other surface of the printed board 1 corresponding to the position, where the image pickup element 2 and a camera unit 3 are provided. In addition, a reinforcing member 6 is provided at a position, where the light shading member 5 is provided. The member 5 is provided between the printed board 1 and the reinforcing member 6.
