PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a conductive organic thin film capable of selectively forming the conductive organic thin film in a prescribed region on a base surface. SOLUTION: The film of organic molecule which contains an end bonding capable group which can form cobalent bonding with the base surface and a conjugated bonding capable group which can conjugate with other molecules, is selectively formed in a region 2 on the surface of a base 1 where the conductive organic thin film is to be formed. After the organic molecule constituting the film 4 is oriented, the conjugated bonding capable group is polymerized with the conjugated bonding capable group of another organic molecule to form a conjugated bonding chain, thus obtaining a conductive organic thin film 5.
