PURPOSE: A scratchproof transparent door assembly of a washing machine and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize scratches on a door body and to keep the transparency of the door body for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A scratchproof transparent door assembly(30) of a washing machine has a transparent part made from transparent resin at least a side to show the inside of a tub. A coated layer(33) including 2-part hydrophilic cross-linked polyurethane is formed on the surface of the transparent part. A method for making the scratchproof transparent door assembly is composed of steps of injection-molding the transparent part comprising the door assembly by using transparent resin; purifying the surface of the transparent part; applying coating solution, which includes 2-part hydrophilic cross-linked polyurethane on the surface of the transparent part; and drying the coating solution applied on the transparent part.
