PURPOSE: A device for parking a magnetic head of a hard disk drive is provided to limit the width of swinging of a suspension generated by an external shock, thereby preventing the magnetic head from being bumped into a surface of a disk. CONSTITUTION: An extender(170) is extended from a front end(144a) of a suspension(144) of an actuator to the center of a disk(120a) in a predetermined length. A ramp(180) includes an incline plane(181) on which the extender is secured when the disk stops rotating, and an extender limiter(182) limiting up-and-down motions of the extender. The extension limiter is separated from the incline plane at a predetermined interval. If the disk stops rotating, a front end(170a) of the extender is placed between the extender limiter and the incline plane.
