A method of radio-labelling a biomolecule comprising contacting the biomolecule with a source of radionuclide, such as technetium, in the presen ce of a weak transfer ligand and optionally subsequently passing the mixture through a size-exclusion filtration process. Also claimed are kits comprisin g such novel compositions, especially lactoferrin coupled to chemotherapeutic agents, and uses therefor.
