<p>A ramp load device capable of realizing stable recording reproduction by reducing the risk of crush, and a drive having the device. The ramp load device comprises a holding unit for holding a head supporting part for supporting a head for recording or reproducing data on a recording carrier at a position separate from the recording carrier, a sliding part on which the head supporting part slides in contact with it when the head is loaded/unloaded on/from the recording carrier, and a means for changing the position on the head supporting part with which the head supporting part is in contact with the sliding part when the head supporting part slides on the sliding part.</p> |
