The packaging, for products which are sensitive to heat, has an outer packing (1) and plates (2) of a porous foam which wholly shroud the interior (6) of the outer packing. Flexible cooling elements (9,10), filled with a cooling fluid, surround the packaged product on all sides. A closed inner box (7) of folded walls is within the plates to take the cooling elements, with metallic or metalized surfaces, to lie at the plates without intermediate zones. The box walls have a thickness of 2.5-4.5 mm and preferably 3.5 mm.
