PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder capable of preventing an ink-out condition as much as possible by judging the quantity of residual ink by adding the quantity of ink required for printing thereafter. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder comprises inkjet recording heads 7, 8 for ejecting ink drops corresponding to print data, ink cartridges 9, 10 for supplying ink to the inkjet recording heads 7, 8, and a consumption quantity calculating means 32 for calculating beforehand the quantity of consumed ink ejected from the inkjet recording heads 7, 8 corresponding to all the printing operations based on the print data. A quantity of the ink to be consumed in the printing is calculated, and then the quantity of residual ink in the ink cartridge is judged from the above quantity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
