PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling control device easily switchable to an acceleration reflecting the will of a driver without requiring a troublesome operation continuously depressing an accelerator pedal. SOLUTION: In this traveling control device performing a follow-up traveling when a forward traveling vehicle is present and a fixed speed traveling when the forward traveling vehicle is not present, when the accelerator pedal 8 of the vehicle is operated while an acceleration for moving from the follow-up traveling to the fixed speed traveling is indicated, the pre-set acceleration value is switched to an acceleration value increased more than a pre-set acceleration value to accelerate the vehicle. When the driver desires to more accelerate the vehicle, the driver can perform a higher acceleration reflecting the will of the driver without requiring the troublesome operation continuously pressing the accelerator pedal by merely operating the accelerator pedal only one time and, thereafter, allowing the acceleration to be performed based on the increased acceleration value.
