<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electrifying means from being soiled by a density sensor pattern or untransferred toner when transfer material is jammed in a cleaner-less image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A contact and separate mechanism consisting of an electrifying solenoid 20, for example, is connected to an electrifying roller 2, and separates the roller 2 from a photoreceptor drum 1 by the attraction of the solenoid 20 if the density sensor pattern and the toner which is not transferred when transfer paper is jammed is all fed to the roller 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
