<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data filtering circuit in which a method for filtering data of a conventional technique can be simply realized. <P>SOLUTION: The filtering circuit continuously performs the steps of correcting (ZWE) discrete transformation (DCT2) and an odd transforming data for a set of original data (from X0 to X7) and reverse discrete transformation (IDCT2). This filtering circuit uses the fact that paths corresponding to even and odd transformed data are completely separated except the first processing stage (ST1) of the discrete transformation and the final stage (ST8) of the reverse discrete transformation. As a result, a first half of the data generated from the first stage can be connected to the final processing stage. Thus, the filtering circuit can be simply realized. The circuit can be inexpensively manufactured in a low power consumption. The filtering circuit is functioned in a different mode for optimum realizing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
