The back load carrier (1) for carrying loads comprises bars (3, 4), cross bars (10, 13), straps, load attaching members and coupling parts (17, 18) enabling to join two load carriers (1) so as to obtain a stretcher or a luge. Four bars (3, 4) are arranged along the edges of a prism having a trapezoidal base. The bars (3) of which the reciprocal distance is larger are close to the back of the person. The two bars (4) situated on the load side form a sliding plane. The two small sides of the load carrier (1) carry at least a carrying member (6) for a stirrup (7) projecting from the bars (4) on the load side. Flexible side walls (9) are fixed to the back bars (3) above the lower carrying member (6). The side walls (9) facing each other may be joined into an envelope both on the back side and on the load side. A sliding plate (5) is preferably arranged between the bars (4) on the load side, and the back bars (3) form pads. |
