The assembly secures the frontal position of a set collar mounted on a rotating shaft. The shaft ring (18) is fixed permanently on the shaft (2) by a set of tightening screws (19). The ring has a shoulder (21) on which the inwards flange part (6) of a bush (4) is fitted. The other end of the bush has the threaded part of the bearing ring (9) screwed into it. Between the bearing surface (10) of the ring (9) and that of the shaft ring a spring (22) is fitted. The bearing ring has an extension collar into which a rotary seal (12) is fitted and secured by screws.
