<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner for developing an electrostatic charge image having electrification amount distribution that hardly causes surface staining by analyzing the electrification amount distribution of the toner in developer by using a normal distribution function and regulating the electrification amount distribution so that the surface staining is hardly caused by using the normal distribution function. <P>SOLUTION: As for a two-component developer consisting of the toner and a carrier, the electrification amount distribution of an initial agent which is obtained by weak stirring and mixing, with a tumbler mixer, the toner and the carrier for 60 s on a condition that toner concentration is 5% and which is measured by an E-Spart analyzer is expressed by the linear function of normal distribution. As for the toner for developing the electrostatic charge image, the electrification amount distribution is expressed by the linear function even when the toner is stirred for 30 minutes in a two-component developing unit in which the diameter of a sleeve is set to 18 mm, the linear velocity of the sleeve is set to 275.65 mm/sec, draw-up quantity is set to 0.075 g/cm<SP>2</SP>and a doctor gap is set to 0.775±0.02 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
