<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereomicroscope which can arrange a position of an eyepoint in a lowest possible position where workability is good no matter whether additional devices, such as a viewing device for an assistant, recorder, etc., exist or not. <P>SOLUTION: The stereomicroscope which has a body section provided with an objective lens 4, a variable power optical system 5 disposed behind the objective lens 4 and a viewing optical system having an imaging lens 6 and eyepiece 8 and can make variable power is furnished with first optical axis deflecting means 17 for bending an optical axis 16 of incident light entering the inside of the body section from an area to be examined at an angle of 90° and second optical axis deflecting means 19, 21, and 23 for aligning the optical axis bent by the first deflecting means 17 again to the same axis as the optical axis 16 of the incident light while bending the optical axis a plurality of times at the angle of 90°, in which the variable power optical system 5 is arranged on the optical axis 18 bent from the optical axis 16 of the incident light by the first or the second deflecting means 17, 19, 21, and 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
