PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the effect of a disturbing signal due to second harmonics of an intermediate frequency signal in receiving an output signal from a television signal transmission apparatus. SOLUTION: The television signal transmission apparatus includes: a first frequency converter 2 for up-converting an input signal to the intermediate frequency signal; and a second frequency converter 4 for down-converting the intermediate frequency signal to a television signal with any channel in a prescribed output frequency band, the video intermediate frequency of the intermediate frequency signal is selected to be higher than the highest frequency in the output frequency band and to be a frequency lower by 1.25 MHz than the frequency twice the video frequency of any channel in the output frequency band.
