PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set with a vibration detection function, which can surely control a plurality of operations by judging whether or not it is vibration when the portable telephone set is patted as an input operation. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set 1 is composed of an antenna 11, a radio part 12, a control part 2, an operating part 13, a display part 14, a speaker 15, a vibrator 16, a microphone 17, a vibration detection part 3 and a vibration control part 4 for inputting a vibration signal, storing it as a reference vibration signal, judging whether or not a vibration signal inputted after the reference vibration signal is a vibration signal applied by the input operation on the basis of the reference vibration signal, preparing and outputting a vibration control signal when it is judged that the signal is a vibration signal due to the input operation.
