<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the possibility of content delivery business by familiarizing consumers more with video image delivery. <P>SOLUTION: A server device 21 holds middleware 22 for high efficiency data compression, a server (program) 23, and broadcast content data 24. A user who sends a video mail uses a portable terminal 20a to shoot an image and input character information to be displayed as a telop, and transmits them as the video mail to the server device 21. The server device effects data compression and transmission depending on a FOMA-compliant terminal 20b or an i-mode terminal 20c (both brands of NTT DoCoMo, Inc.).
