PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc discharge coaxial arrester capable of suppressing the IM noise. SOLUTION: The arc discharge coaxial arrester is provided with an outer conductor 1 of a cylindrical shape, an inner conductor 2 concentrically inserted for retention into the inside of the outer conductor 1 through an insulator 5, a discharge element 6 with a gas-filled space 9 formed between an exterior electrode 7 and an interior electrode 8, and a conductive cap member 12 connected to the outer conductor 1. An exterior lead part 10 and an interior lead part 11 are set in protrusion on the exterior electrode 7 of the discharge element 6 and on the interior electrode 8, respectively, which former 10 is connected with the conductive cap member 12 by metal joint and the latter 11 is connected with the inner conductor 2 by metal joint.
