PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unit arranging method and a unit arranging program capable of determining arrangement of a unit to an arranging place and the required unit number. SOLUTION: A control computer records a shape and the size of a veranda, and a position and the size of an obstacle. The control computer forms a shape display 86 on the basis of input data on the shape and the size of the veranda, and sets the shape display in a unit tile lattice system 80 composed of a unit tile lattice corresponding to one tile. The control computer records a lattice flag 90 existing inside the shape display 86, and nonoverlapping with an obstacle display 95 among lattice points 84 of the unit tile lattice system 80. The control computer calculates the tile number and a cost required for arranging the tile on the unit tile lattice for recording the lattice flag 90 on the whole lattice points 84 of the four corners.
