INK BACKFLOW PREVENTIVE MATERIAL COMPOSITION FOR WRITING UTENSIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemically stable ink backflow preventing material composition suitable for a writing utensil without causing a viscosity change even in a state filled in the writing utensil and satisfying both backflow resistance and follow-up performances.

SOLUTION: The ink backflow preventive material composition comprises a gelling agent such as a hydrophobic silica and an N-alkylpyrrolidone in a slightly volatile liquid or a nonvolatile liquid such as a silicone oil. The preventive material composition is arranged in the rear end face of an ink directly stored in an ink reservoir cylinder and advances according to the consumption of the ink.
