<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage nonlinear variable resistor which has a simple structure and can quickly and surely cut an abnormally large current, and moreover, can enhance a security function by required fusing characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This voltage nonlinear variable resistor is integrally constituted of a voltage nonlinear variable resistor element (a varistor 2) and a fuse (a fuse part 18). An electrode layer (6) arranged on the voltage nonlinear variable resistor element (the varistor 2) is connected to an external terminal (a lead wire 12) via an easily meltable metal or a conductive low-melting material (a low-melting material 14), and the easily meltable metal or the conductive low-melting material is covered with a flux resin (16). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
