<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk medium wherein surface smoothing treatment can be performed efficiently and in a short period of time and the deterioration of a recording pattern in the surface smoothing treatment is prevented and to provide a manufacturing method for the optical disk medium. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk medium wherein land track parts and groove track parts which are alternately formed in disk radius directions and pit parts formed in the groove track parts are provided on a disk surface, the width in the disk radius direction of the land track part adjacent to an area where the pit part in the groove track part is formed is formed more than 1.1 times as wide as the width in the disk radius direction of the land track part adjacent to an area where the pit part in the groove track part is not formed and the disk surface is smoothed by using active oxygen formed by irradiating the disk surface with UV. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
