<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure including honeycomb segments having high tolerance to a crack by heat stress used as a filter for collecting fine particles in exhaust gas from an internal combustion and a boiler. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure is provided by unifying an outer peripheral wall 8, partition walls 2 and a plurality of honeycomb segments 12 having a large number of axially piercing flow holes 3 partitioned by partition walls 2. In a vertical cross section to X-axis direction of the honeycomb structure 1, the honeycomb structure 1 includes a honeycomb segment 12 in which angles a and/or b between a partition wall 2 and a line along the most outer point of the outer peripheral wall 8a adjacent to another honeycomb segment are in a range of 25 to 65 degree. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
