<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system and a processing method for it capable of taking a quick and accurate response. <P>SOLUTION: In this mechanical security system based on supervision by a security apparatus arranged on a customer side, the whole area of a security area of a management center managing security by means of a computer is previously divided into a plurality of areas, a mobile force is arranged in each of the plurality of divided areas, and a position of the mobile force arranged in each of the areas is detected periodically by means of a position detector to be stored. When an alarm is transmitted from the security apparatus in one of the plurality of areas secured and controlled through an electronic controller by the management center, on the basis of position data of the present positions of the respective mobile forces arranged in the respective areas, the mobile force capable of reaching the alarming site first is retrieved from all the mobile forces by means of the electronic controller.
