The soil compacter has a vibrating needle (1) with a conical tip (2) at one end and conical housing (3) with two opposite flat surfaces (4) at the other, connected to a square section flexible compressed air line (5). The conical housing has an outer concentric conical shell (6) that delivers water to the outer surface of the needle to soften the soil as it is being compacted. The upper end of the conical shell is fixed to a rigid tube (7) containing the flexible air line and a water feed pipe (8).
