1,221,612. Resistors. FUJITSU Ltd. and NIPPON TELEGRAPH & TELEPHONE PUBLIC CORP. 26 Feb., 1969 [27 Feb., 1968], No. 10249/69. Heading HIS. A resistive first film 2 (for example Ni-Cr alloy) is laid on a substrate; a second film 3 (e.g. Cr), having a temperature coefficient of resistance different from the first film 2, is laid over the ends of film 2 and overlaps on to the substrate at 5, and metal terminal layers 4 (e.g. Pd) are formed on the second film 3, leaving a portion of the second film exposed; and those parts 5 of the exposed part of film 3 which lie on the substrate are adjusted in size. By this means the T.C.R. of the whole resistor can be adjusted and made compatible with other resistors to be used. The second film may be impermeable to soldering material. The Ni-Cr layer 2 may be deposited or sputtered on to a glazed ceramic substrate 1. |
